Disconnection can create the impression that something important has been lost, or that you are no longer who you once were. This perception can be unsettling and can lead to a sense of distance from yourself.
In many cases, however, nothing has been lost. What you are experiencing is a reduction in expression rather than an absence. Parts of yourself may have become quieter, less prioritised, or less acknowledged, but they remain present.
This quietness can create the feeling of distance, but distance is not the same as disappearance. What is part of you does not leave entirely. It may recede or become less visible, but it continues to exist.
Returning to yourself is not about finding something new, but about creating the conditions that allow these quieter aspects to become noticeable again. This process does not require force or urgency, but space and attention.
